Work on Iran-Pakistan Gas Pipeline Starts in 6 Months, Petroleum Minister Says

 

Work on Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline is expected to start in six months and will be completed until 2014, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Petroleum & Natural Resources, Dr Asim Hussain said.

He noted that Present regime is stuck to the energy policy and soon it would be uncovered, MOJ news agency reported.

He went on to say that, Pakistan’s government is working on emergency basis about energy crisis and Cabinet Committee approved the installation of 1100 and 500 MW Power House.

It’s worth mentioning that Pakistan needs to import gas from Iran to meet its energy needs for these power plants.
