Steel Cutting Ceremony Held for Hybrid Dual-Fuel LNG Carrier in China

Construction of first hybrid dual-fuel 30,000 cum LNG carrier in China started on April 18th with a steel cutting ceremony held at Ningbo Xinle Shipbuilding Group, according to SinoShip.

The vessel, worth $105m, measures 181m in length, 36 m in breadth, 19 m in height and has 7.8 m draft.

The LNG carrier is due to be delivered in March 2015 and is intended to operate along China’s coast for PetroChina.
