Statoil Gets Green Light to Use Floatel Superior LQ Rig (Norway)

Statoil has received consent to use the Floatel Superior mobile living quarters facility during a period of high activity.

Statoil has received consent to use the Floatel Superior mobile living quarters (LQ)  facility for accommodation during a period of high activity on the Oseberg field centre in the North Sea, offshore Norway.

The activity, which started on1 February 2013, is scheduled to be completed on 10 May 2013 at the latest.

The activities include upgrade of the living quarters on Oseberg A, as well as several other projects related to upgrade and maintenance of the Oseberg facilities. Floatel Superior (photo) was commissioned in March 2010 at the Keppel FELS shipyard, Singapore. The facility is operated by Floatel International AB (FIAB) in Gothenburg.
