SgurrEnergy rebrands to Wood Group

Business & Finance

UK-based renewable energy consultancy SgurrEnergy will formally rebrand as Wood Group from early May 2017.

SgurrEnergy has been part of Wood Group’s clean energy business since 2010, providing engineering and technical advisory services to renewable projects across the globe.

The rebrand will support the uniting of Wood Group’s diverse individual businesses, SgurrEnergy said.

Jan Dell, Vice President of Clean Energy, Water and Climate at Wood Group, said:

“This provides us with the platform for further international growth. We will continue to leverage Wood Group’s global network of offices and technical resource to enhance delivery of integrated services for renewable energy developers, lenders, investors and operators.”

The consultancy, which recently welcomed Claus Hjoerringgaard as its new director of clean energy, will be moving its headquarters to St Vincent Plaza in Glasgow with an official office launch expected in the summer.

To remind, SgurrEnergy secured the contract with the MeyGen project developer Atlantis Resources early this year, under which it will act as the MeyGen site operations contractor initially providing National Grid Control Point services, with an option to expand the services.
