Scottish O&G Delegation to Participate at CIOTC 2014

It is reported that several enterprises of Scottish oil and gas delegation will participate as pavilion in the 4th China (Beijing) International Offshore Oil & Gas Technology Conference and Exhibition (CIOTC 2014) China’s most specialized and Asia’s most promising shows in the offshore oil and gas industry, which will be held in Beijing on November 9-11.

Oil and gas industry is the backbone of Scotland with more than 40 years’ operation history in the North Sea. More than 2000 enterprises in the oil and gas upstream and downstream supply chain of Scotland have entered more than 100 countries’ market. They are not only playing a vital role in onshore oil and gas field, but also in offshore gas exploration and development. The pavilion will present its innovated equipments and advanced technologies in equipment manufacturing and oil and gas exploration & development, and also share the experience at the technical forum of Deepwater Technology.

China has been increasing the investment in oil and gas industry in Scotland during the past few years. CNOOC’s acquisition for Nixon and Sinopec’s share in Talisman Energy Company’s North Sea business indicate that there is a huge market potential in the area of oil and gas cooperation between China and Scotland. Scottish delegation considers the 4th China (Beijing) International Offshore Oil & Gas Technology Conference and Exhibition as a very important communication platform to associate with Chinese enterprises and conduct in-depth communication and exchange, promoting China and Scotland’s widespread cooperation in the energy field.
