The SOV is of the Ulstein SX195 design and has a length of 93.4 meters, a width of 18m, and is optimised for offshore wind.

At the end of July, GE Renewable Energy contracted Bernhard Schulte to provide the SOV which will be used for the maintenance of the 66 GE Haliade 6MW wind turbines on the Merkur offshore wind farm, the last of which has just been installed.
