Noble Corporation, a UK-based offshore drilling contractor, has secured contracts for three of its drilling rigs in the Middle East.

The contracts are for three jack-up drilling rigs. Noble did not disclose the name of the client or clients.

It revealed that contract extensions have been granted for the Noble David Tinsley and the Noble Alan Hay jack-ups, in the UAE with an undisclosed client. The terms for both of the rigs are the same. The extensions start in late December 2015, until late December 2017, at a dayrate of $85.000 per rig.

Separately, the driller has said that it has won a new contract for the 2013-built Noble Mick O’Brien jack-up. Also with an undisclosed client in the UAE, the rig’s contract kicks off sometime between early March and early August 2016.

The contract is for 400 days period, at a dayrate of $150.000. The rig is expected to stay on hire until early April 2017 to early September 2017, depending on the starting date of the contract. Noble has also said that, as part of the agreement for the Noble Mick O’Brien, it will have the ability to substitute the rig with another rig of similar design by giving notice to the client during 4Q2015.
