ExxonMobil takes two AHTS vessels from Icon Offshore (Malaysia)

Icon Offshore has received a  letter of award from ExxonMobil Exploration & Production Malaysia Inc. for the provision of  two Anchor Handling Tug / Supply (AHTS) vessels.

The vessels, Icon Zara and Icon Ikhlas, will be on a short-term contract with ExxonMobil, worth RM7.7 million ($1,82M), Icon said in its filling to Malaysian stock exchange on Friday.

According to Icon, the AHTS Icon Zara started its service on September 30, 2015, and will continue for a period of six months with an option for one-month extension.

As for Icon Ikhlas, it started its service on October 1, 2015, for a period of three months.

Under the Short Term Contract, Icon is required to provide among others, transportation of supplies from supply bases to drilling rigs and vice versa.

Both vessels were built in 2013, 59,25 meters long with 330 sq meters of clear deck space. Each vessel can take 42 crew.
