Dellner Brakes Buys JHS Jungblut

The Swedish marine and industrial brake supplier Dellner Brakes has acquired the Germany-based brake specialist JHS Jungblut.

According to Dellner Brakes, the acquisition will strengthen the company’s offering in the offshore and onshore wind market and will enable further global expansion.

The expanded company will operate under the name of Dellner Brakes JHS GmbH, with Kai Kölker taking the role of Vice President.

Our acquisition of JHS will help us consolidate our position in this important and growing sector, complementing our existing core markets of marine, industrial, cranes and winches, oil and gas,” said Marcus Aberg, Dellner Brakes CEO.

Formed in 2008, JHS is focused on the development and supply of noise-free systems for braking and gliding processes in wind turbines, including yaw brakes and sliding calipers, rotor brakes and locks plus components and accessories.

Dellner Brakes’ product range includes hydraulic and electric disc brakes, turning and locking devices, as well as pneumatic drum brakes and clutches, shaft couplings and rotary unions.
