As Subsea World News finds out, cables and connectors for the project have been delivered from Korean LS Cable & System and transferred to the Ndurance last week.

NKT in Germany were contracted for the supply of inter-array cables for the wind farm and “the cables are already at the inter array cable installation vessel ‘HAM 602’,” Eneco spokesperson said in an email statement.

The installation of the cables is expected to be completed by mid-October 2014.

Apart from cable installation, turbine foundation installation is progressing according to plans.

Until now Aeolus, an offshore wind farm installation vessel, installed 16 piles of the planned 43.

Regarding the work so far, Eneco spokesperson said: “Begin August we had windy weather, but the last few weeks are very good. We had some minor starting problems with the Aeolus, which is normal when a new vessel starts operation, but overall we are very satisfied.”
