Boskalis Nets Inter-Array Cable Contract for Mystery Project

Business & Finance

Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. has signed a contract for inter-array cable work at an undisclosed offshore wind farm.

Under the EUR 80 million contract, the Dutch company is in charge of replacing and repairing a part of the inter-array cables at the project.

Boskalis will use three anchored barge spreads, including the cable repair assets Bokabarge 82 and recently acquired BoDo Constructor accompanied by a variety of support vessels.

To remind, the company entered into an agreement with German SPIE SAG Group at the end of 2018 under which it acquired the offshore cable installation activities and assets of Bohlen Doyen.

The scope of the transaction includes the acquisition of cable laying barges BoDo Installer, BoDo Constructor and BoDo Connector, burial tools and other equipment, personnel, as well as several smaller commercial and maintenance contracts.
