UK: Leading Companies to Gather in London at EIC Connect LNG

The LNG supply chain will be gathering in London this March for EIC Connect LNG, part of the highly successful EIC Connect series of supply chain networking events bringing together the world’s leading operators and contractors from across global energy projects.

The event will be hosted by the EIC, the leading trade association for companies that supply goods and services to the energy industries worldwide.

Leading LNG companies, such as Centrica, WorleyParsons, KBR, SBM Offshore and Foster Wheeler, have confirmed their presence already at the event, taking place at Wembley Stadium on March 14th 2012 and supported by Siemens.

Other contractors and operators who are invited to attend and speak include representatives from ExxonMobil, RasGas, CB&I, MW Kellogg, Petrobras, Shell and TGE. It is also expected that contractors from regions, such as India, China, Russia, Brazil and the Middle East, will be attending to seek out new suppliers and services. The previous EIC Connect LNG event in March 2010 saw over 400 delegates representing 224 companies attend and 35 exhibitors.

EIC DataStream which tracks over 9,000 projects across the global energy industry, shows that there are currently 374 active and future LNG projects with a combined potential investment value of US$794 billion. While the main hot spot of activity can be found in Australia with 33 active and future projects valued at US$269 billion, there is plenty of activity in all regions of the world with Russia, Iran, Nigeria and the USA all contributing significantly to the total. In Europe, key hot spots of activity include Italy, Norway and France.

The format of EIC Connect LNG 2012 will consist of a series of presentations by leading LNG operators and contractors, where they will outline current projects and procurement strategies and requirements. These presentations will be supplemented by a series of One 2 One meetings where the supply chain get the chance to meet some of the LNG’s most senior global sourcing personnel. There are a limited number of stands to allow companies to showcase to buyers within an exclusive environment with exhibitors already confirmed including Pepperl + Fuchs, Draeger, Hertel and Alderley.
