WES selects Cruz Atcheson as wave projects advisor

Authorities & Government

Wave Energy Scotland (WES) has appointed Cruz Atcheson Consulting Engineers as an independent advisor for its novel wave energy converter (NWEC) stage 2 projects.

Under the £45,000 contract, the Lisbon-based engineering consultancy Cruz Atcheson will advise WES on the physical and numerical modelling and simulation activities for each of the four NWEC projects proceeding to the second stage of the program.

Cruz Atcheson’s role will be to provide confidence in the outcomes of the four projects by conducting an independent appraisal of activities undertaken, according to the Scottish government’s procurement portal Public Contracts Scotland.

WES is a subsidiary of Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) established by the Scottish government to advance the wave energy sector in Scotland.
