Chinese shipyard Dalian Shipbuilding Industry & Co (DSIC) has ordered the tank design of two liquefied natural gas carriers (LNGC) from French LNG containment specialist GTT.

The order, received at the beginning of 2023, came on behalf of the company CMES LNG Carrier Investment INC.

GTT will design the tanks of the two vessels, which will each offer a capacity of 175,000 m3.

The tanks will be fitted with the Mark III Flex membrane containment system developed by GTT.

The delivery of the vessels is scheduled for the third quarter of 2026.

Earlier, GTT received an order for the tank design of two LNGCs from the Korean shipyard Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries (HSHI).
