Liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports from the United States declined during the week ending May 2, the Energy Information Administration said in its weekly natural gas report.
Five LNG vessels with a combined capacity of 17.8 billion cubic feet (Bcf) have departed Cheniere Energy’s Sabine Pass plant from April 26 to May 2, according to EIA.
This compares to four vessels with a combined LNG-carrying capacity of 14.9 Bcf the week before.
On May 2, two vessels with a combined capacity of 7.1 Bcf were loading at the Sabine Pass terminal and one vessel with a capacity of 3.5 Bcf was loading at the Dominion Energy Cove Point plant, the report said.
The natural gas feedstock to both of the terminals averaged 3.8 Bcf/d during the report week as compared to 3.4 Bcf/d last week, it said.
