Marine Energy Week kicks off, industry visiting BiMEP site

Marine Energy Week opened its doors on 27 March in Bilbao, Spain, with the second day of the event dedicated to Biscay Marine Energy Platform (BiMEP), which saw the industry visiting its testing facility situated off the Basque coast.

Marine Energy Week opened its doors on 27 March in Bilbao, Spain, with the second day of the event dedicated to Biscay Marine Energy Platform (BiMEP), which saw the industry visiting its testing facility situated off the Basque coast.

BiMEP Day offers a complete scientific and industrial perspective of marine energy with a presentation of the research centre and scientific posters on the subject.

The event will continue with offshore wind conference on 29 March, and the subject of ocean energy will be extensively discussed the next day, 30 March.

The third edition of Marine Energy Week has been organised by Ente Vasco de la Energía (EVE) and Tecnalia from 27 to 31 March at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC).
