On September 5, DONG Energy will hold a community consultation event at the Villa Marina in Douglas regarding extension of the Walney offshore wind farm. The consultation will provide detailed explanation of the proposal to the public, Isle of Man Today news site reports.
DONG plans to extend the existing Walney offshore wind farm doubling its current size. The proposed extension involves installation of extra 108 turbines, which will achieve power generation of up to 750 MW.
