Norway’s Solstad Maritime (SOMA) has strengthened its operational footprint in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region after securing assignments for two anchor-handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels.
These firm contracts for the Normand Scorpion and Normand Saracen AHTS vessels have a combined duration of 475 days.
The sister vessels, measuring 87.4 meters in length with a 21-meter beam, were built in 2009 and 2010, respectively.
The AHTS pair will perform drilling support activities in the APAC region, but Solstad Maritime did not disclose the name of the company that hired them.
The deals, which are expected to begin in Q2 or Q3 2027, include 400 days of options beyond the firm periods.
The combined value of the firm contracts, which is between $10 and $30 million, is estimated at the upper end of the interval, according to SOMA.
The latest deals come over a month after Solstad Maritime secured a letter of intent (LoI) for a construction support vessel (CSV) in West Africa.
