In August 2011, Macduff received an order from the Russian Leningrad shipyard “Pella” to produce a concept design for a new 46m autoliner. The design will be based on previous autoliner designs produced by the company but incorporating the latest trends in hull design.
This order represents the first from Russia and a return to large fishing vessel design for Macduff.
