Wison, GTT Team Up on LNG Projects

Wison Offshore & Marine has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with GTT regarding various LNG projects. 

The project scope includes LNG carriers, LNG Floating Storage Regasification Units (FSRU), Floating LNG (FLNG) units and FLNG units with GTT membrane tanks.

“We will be able to offer together innovative and cost-effective solutions in this area as well as other markets such as LNG as a fuel, bunkering and small-scale shipping,” Philippe Berterottière, Chairman and CEO of GTT, commented.

“By leveraging Wison’s expertise in EPC project execution and GTT’ … technologies, we’ll provide the LNG industry with more economical and tailor-made solutions to help clients achieve higher yield in their investment and unlock the market potential,” Ying CUI, CEO of Wison Offshore & Marine, said.

Wison said it is the first in the world to construct barge-based FLNG and FSRU, both executed at its yard facility in China. Based in Shanghai, the company has developed a full spectrum of products including FLNG, LNG-Distributor, LNGC, FSRU, FSRP, bunkering vessel.

Headquartered in France, GTT offers services including design and engineering of containment systems for maritime transportation and storage of LNG.
