Watch Valemon topsides installation video

Statoil has released a video of the Valemon topsides heavy lift and installation on the steel jacket in the Norwegian North Sea.

The heavy lift was performed by one of the largest heavy lift vessels, Saipem 7000, on Monday, July 28, 2014. The lift of the 9 750-tonne topsides took two hours, and was performed slightly earlier than initially assumed.

Valemon is a gas and condensate field expected to come on stream late 2014. It is located in the North Sea, between Kvitebjørn and Gullfaks South fields, some 160 kilometres west of Bergen.
