WATCH: ‘Acergy Viking’ at Westcon for Wind Makeover

Equipment

The drone video above shows a 2007-built Eidesvik subsea vessel “Acergy Viking” which went through a conversion project at Westcon yard in Norway this summer.

Westcon Karmsund prepared the vessel for a contract with Siemens Wind Power in Germany.

The Acergy Viking was previously a survey vessel, but after remodeling it was converted into a so-called windfarm support/light construction vessel.

The vessel docked at Westcon yard in June, and will be operational now in August chartered to Siemens for 9 months as an accommodation and service vessel.
