Effective 1 June 2020, the appointment marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Portishead and Aberdeen based company.

It will see Davies lead the delivery of Viper’s plans to increase International sales in the subsea as well as railway industries.

Davies brings 20 years experience working with fast growing businesses as a consultant, non-executive and executive director.

He acted as advisor to engineering company Adey from start up in 2003, before taking on COO position in 2015.

Davies succeeds Neil Douglas, who along with Max Nodder founded the company in 2007.

Douglas and Nodder will both remain on the board of directors of Viper Innovations.

Nodder will continue in a business development capacity and Douglas will also take on an engineering and business development role.

“Edward takes on the leadership of a successful company that is in great shape and has exciting times ahead.

“The board has full confidence in his ability to continue Viper’s strong reputation for innovation and growth, said Neil Douglas.

Edward Davies stated: “I have known Viper’s founders for some time and had involvement with the business from the early days of its journey.

“Having followed its successes, I am delighted to be entrusted with leading the next phase of its growth, working alongside its founders and the talented and committed team they have developed.”
