Vattenfall Sticks With Horns Rev 1 CTV Team

Operations & Maintenance

Vattenfall has once again contracted Danish crew transfer vessel (CTV) operator KEM Offshore for a long-term charter of two CTVs which will service the 160MW Horns Rev 1 offshore wind farm in the Danish North Sea.

The two CTVs which will service this contract are Orkama M and Elisabeth M.

The charter contract was signed for a period of 3 years, with the option to extend the contract for up to 3 years.

“KEM Offshore vessels have been supporting the wind farm since its installation in 2001 and we are very pleased that we won the tender and that we can continue the long time cooperation with Vattenfall with this contract for HR1,” said John Andersen, CEO at KEM Offshore.

KEM Offshore has provided CTV services to the offshore wind industry since 1996. The company currently operates a fleet of nine vessels.

Their latest CTV, the 28m catamaran KEM 2, was delivered in early 2015.
