USA: Cheniere progresses Corpus Christi liquefaction project

Houston-based LNG player Cheniere informed works continue on its Corpus Christi liquefaction project in Texas. 

According to the November report, the company recently filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, engineering progressed to 92.1 percent, procurement to 39.6 percent.Bechtel progressed the construction works to 1.4 percent completion.

Bechtel progressed the construction works to 1.4 percent, while overall, the project is 27.7 percent complete, Cheniere said.

During the month of November, engineering has focused on finishing out above ground piping isometrics for Train 2 and OSBL, continuing to update design for permanent plant buildings and Inlet Air Chilling.

Construction focused on progressing permanent plant earthworks and temporary facilities site prep.

In the month of November, Bechtel completed concrete placements for Tank A foundation perimeter, site prep for Tank C, concrete placement for the Train 1 compressor area methane mat.

The LNG engineer also progressed underground pipe installations at road crossings, and progressed formwork, and continued installing rebar and concrete on electrical ductbanks.
