Namely, the Marshall Islands-based Monsoon Navigation Corporation and its Panama-flagged Ocean Elegance were taken down from the list almost six months after they were sanctioned in May 2019.

OFAC earlier explained that the company and its ship were blacklisted for deliverying crude oil from Venezuela to Cuba from late 2018 through March 2019.

At the time, the U.S. Department of Treasury’s OFAC also sanctioned Liberia’s Serenity Maritime Limited, as well as the company’s chemical and oil tanker Leon Dias, for shipping crude oil from Venezuela to Cuba.
