While Allrig has not revealed the exact names of its clients, duration, and value of the contracts, the U.S. player did explain that these two multi-year contracts are with “key customers in the region,” given “the positive upward trend” of drilling activity in the deepwater Golden Triangle areas, between the Gulf of Mexico, West Africa, and Brazil.

“These prestigious contracts further cement our globally recognised commitment to delivering safe, innovative, and industry leading service solutions to drilling contractors worldwide,” underlined Allrig.

The U.S. firm’s range of specialist services helps drilling contractors to ensure compliance with standards, including pre-contract compliance audits and rectification support, a wide range of rope access and non-rope access inspections, turnkey equipment removal and reinstallations, equipment overhauls, drilling and traveling equipment services, inspection and testing on all types of cranes, specialized derrick projects, and so on.

Wood Mackenzie predicted last year that rig demand would skyrocket by 20% from 2024-2025, driven mostly by the Golden Triangle – Latin AmericaNorth America, and Africa – and parts of the Mediterranean.
