Universities discuss ocean RE research collaboration

Representatives from the Australian Maritime College (AMC) have met with the delegation from the National Taiwan Ocean University to discuss potential opportunities for collaboration.

Led by Vice-President, Hsuan-Shih Lee, six senior representatives from the National Taiwan Ocean University toured AMC’s world-class hydrodynamic facilities and simulators, as well as visiting its dedicated training vessels at Beauty Point.

Potential research collaborations in the area of ocean renewable energy were investigated, as well as study abroad opportunities and the possibility of offering joint Masters and PhD courses, AMC informed.

The visit also presented an opportunity to hold face-to-face discussions on collaboration between the two leading maritime universities in key areas of research and study.
