UMW bags Petronas gig

Malaysia’s UMW Oil & Gas has been awarded a contract for the provision of has been awarded a contract for the Provision of 460K drilling hydraulic workover unit (HWU) for Petronas Carigali. 

UMW said in a Bursa Malaysia filing on Monday that the HWU will undertake workover services for Petronas Carigali under an umbrella contract.

Workover services are services rendered in performing maintenance and/or remedial treatments on an oil or gas well.

UMW will assign its HWU UMW Gait 6 to undertake these workover services, in particular drilling with pull capacity at a maximum of 460,000 lbs.

Starting from February 6, 2018, the contract has a term of three years with an option to extend for a further one year.

Orders for services under the contract are individually made through call-outs and at stipulated prices.
