UDS Splashes ‘Van Gogh’

Singapore-based Ultra Deep Solutions (UDS) has launched its new DP2 multipurpose diving support construction vessel (DSCV) ‘Van Gogh’ at the China Merchants Heavy Industry (CMHI) yard in Shenzhen.

The launch follows recent delivery of the diving support construction vessel (DSCV) Lichtenstein by the same shipbuilder.

The 111.5 meters long Van Gogh will be equipped with 18-men single bell saturation system for depth down to 300 meters. The vessel has its own moonpool, an air diving system, and it is fitted with 1 observation remotely operated vehicle with LARS.

The vessels was built to a new green design by Marin Teknikk with diesel electric frequency controlled propulsion, azimuth thrusters, dynamic positioning system and 150t offshore cranes (3,000m water depth). A platform deck of 1,000 m2 space is suitable for wellhead servicing, inspection and construction diving and ROV support.

The Van Gogh can accommodate up to 120 personnel.
