U.S. weekly offshore rig count up by one

The number of active offshore rigs in the U.S. is up by one unit over the last week, according to a weekly rig count report by Baker Hughes.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. +5 to 402 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is up 5 from last week at 402 with oil rigs up 4 to 309, gas rigs up 1 to 92, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 1.

U.S. Rig Count is down 388 rigs from last year’s count of 790, with oil rigs down 369, gas rigs down 18 and miscellaneous rigs down 1.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is up 1 to 17, down 5 year-over-year.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada -9 rigs to 163 rigs.

Canada Rig Count is down 9 from last week to 163, with oil rigs down 8 to 92, gas rigs down 1 to 71.

Canada Rig Count is down 77 rigs from last year’s count of 240, with oil rigs down 71, gas rigs down 6.
