U.S. weekly offshore rig count unchanged

The number of offshore rigs in the U.S. remained unchanged over the last week, according to a Friday report by Baker Hughes Company.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. -1 to 790 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is down 1 rig from last week to 790, with oil rigs down 1 to 678, gas rigs unchanged at 110, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 2.

U.S. Rig Count is down 248 rigs from last year’s count of 1,038, with oil rigs down 165, gas rigs down 85, and miscellaneous rigs up 2 to 2.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is unchanged at 22 unchanged year-over-year.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada -4 rigs to 240 rigs

Canada Rig Count is down 4 rigs from last week to 240, with oil rigs down 6 to 163 and gas rigs up 2 to 77.

Canada Rig Count is up 29 rigs from last year’s count of 211, with oil rigs up 23 and gas rigs up 6.
