U.S. weekly offshore rig count slips to 21

The number of offshore rigs in the U.S. slipped to 21 units last week, according to weekly rig count reports released on Friday by Baker Hughes Company.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. -21 to 830 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is down 21 rigs from last week to 830, with oil rigs down 17 to 696, gas rigs down 4 to 133, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 1.

U.S. Rig Count is down 238 rigs from last year’s count of 1,068, with oil rigs down 179, gas rigs down 60, and miscellaneous rigs up 1 to 1.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is down 1 to 21 and up 2 rigs year-over-year.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada +4 rigs to 147 rigs

Canada Rig Count is up 4 rigs from last week to 147, with oil rigs up 4 to 102 and gas rigs unchanged at 45.

Canada Rig Count is down 53 rigs from last year’s count of 200, with oil rigs down 22 and gas rigs down 31.
