U.S. weekly offshore rig count inches down

The U.S. active offshore rig count last week dropped by one unit compared to the previous week, Baker Hughes said Friday in its weekly rig count report.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. -11 to 806, Canada -6 to 134

Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. -11 to 806 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is down 11 rigs from last week to 806, with oil rigs down 10 to 674, gas rigs down 1 to 129, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 3.

U.S. Rig Count is down 276 rigs from last year’s count of 1,082, with oil rigs down 214, gas rigs down 65, and miscellaneous rigs up 3 to 3.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is down 1 rig to 22 and unchanged year-over-year.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada -6 rigs to 134 rigs

Canada Rig Count is down 6 rigs from last week to 134, with oil rigs down 9 to 88 and gas rigs up 3 to 46.

Canada Rig Count is down 63 rigs from last year’s count of 197, with oil rigs down 30 and gas rigs down 33.
