U.S. weekly offshore rig count flat at 22

The number of offshore rigs in the U.S. remained unchanged for yet another week, according to Friday rig count reports by Baker Hughes.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. -3 to 799 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is down 3 rigs from last week to 799, with oil rigs down 5 to 663, gas rigs up 2 to 133, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 3.

U.S. Rig Count is down 276 rigs from last year’s count of 1,075, with oil rigs down 214, gas rigs down 65, and miscellaneous rigs up 3 to 3.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is unchanged at 22 and down 1 rig year-over-year.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada +12 rigs to 138 rigs

Canada Rig Count is up 12 rigs from last week to 138, with oil rigs up 10 to 87 and gas rigs up 2 to 51.

Canada Rig Count is down 48 rigs from last year’s count of 186, with oil rigs down 15 and gas rigs down 33.
