U.S. weekly offshore rig count flat at 21

The number of active offshore rigs in the U.S. remained unchanged over the last week, according to a Friday report by Baker Hughes.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. -4 to 790 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is down 4 rigs from last week to 790, with oil rigs down 1 to 675, gas rigs down 3 to 112, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 3.

U.S. Rig Count is down 255 rigs from last year’s count of 1,045, with oil rigs down 172, gas rigs down 86, and miscellaneous rigs up 3 to 3.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is unchanged at 21 and up 2 rigs year-over-year.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada +3 rigs to 247 rigs

Canada Rig Count is up 3 rigs from last week at 247, with oil rigs up 3 to 157 and gas rigs unchanged at 90.

Canada Rig Count is up 4 rigs from last year’s count of 243, with oil rigs down 2 and gas rigs up 6.
