U.S. offshore rig count steady at 19

The number of offshore rigs in the U.S. remained unchanged at 19 units during last week, according to a Friday report by Baker Hughes, a GE company.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. +5 to 1,052 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is up 5 rigs from last week to 1,052, with oil rigs up 5 to 863, gas rigs unchanged at 187, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 2.

U.S. Rig Count is up 100 rigs from last year’s count of 952, with oil rigs up 100, gas rigs down 2, and miscellaneous unchanged.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is unchanged at 19 and down 2 rigs year-over-year.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada +10 to 182 rigs

Canada Rig Count is up 10 rigs from last week to 182, with oil rigs up 9 to 126 and gas rigs up 1 to 56.

Canada Rig Count is up 7 rigs from last year’s count of 175, with oil rigs up 21 and gas rigs down 14.
