U.S. offshore rig count slips down a notch

After no change for two consecutive weeks, the number of offshore rigs in the U.S. fell to 11 units last week, according to Baker Hughes’ weekly rig count report from last Friday.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. +13 to 663 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is up 13 from last week to 663 with oil rigs up 8 to 527, gas up 5 to 135, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 1.

U.S. Rig Count is up 261 rigs from last year’s count of 402 with oil rigs up 218 gas rigs up 43 and miscellaneous unchanged at 1.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is down 1 to 11, down 2 year-over-year.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada -11 to 206 rigs

Canada Rig Count is down 11 from last week to 206, with oil rigs down 7 to 127, gas rigs down 3 to 79 and miscellaneous down 1.

Canada Rig Count is up 90 rigs from last year’s count of 116, with oil rigs up 69, gas rigs up 21 and miscellaneous unchanged at 0.
