The Netherlands: TenneT Appoints New Supervisory Board Member

Dr Pieter M. Verboom has joined the Supervisory Board of TenneT Holding B.V. with effect from 18 September 2012. He will be a member of the board’s Audit Committee. He succeeds Mr drs. Cees Griffioen RA who stepped down in June 2012 under the company’s rules for terms of office. Verboom’s appointment returns the Supervisory Board to five members. 

Verboom (1950) has broadly-based financial and international experience at several listed and unlisted companies. He began his career at Royal Philips Electronics after studying econometrics at Erasmus University Rotterdam and gaining a doctorate (PhD) in economics at the University of Amsterdam. His positions at Royal Philips Electronics included CFO / Deputy Chairman of the Board of Management in South America and the Far East.

In 1997 Verboom joined Schiphol Group and was subsequently appointed its CFO / Executive Vice President. Verboom left the Schiphol Group on 1 May 2012.
