DAMEN Delivers New Cutter Suction Dredger to ADAMS

Akash Dredging & Marine services ltd (ADAMS) has acquired a New Cutter Suction Dredger, from DAMEN Shipyards, the Netherlands. This Dredger after its erection and trails by the OEM shall be inaugurated on 15th February 2012 at ABG Shipyard – Dahej, Gujarat.

ADAMS is a professionally managed company headed by its MD Mr. Madhava Varma who is ably supported by a team of qualified and experienced dredging professionals some of them trained at TID Netherlands.

CSD 500 having installed power of 1300KW and capable to achieve a maximum depth of (-) 15.5 mtrs with a production of 500 – 600 Cum Solids per Hour, with in a distance of 1.25km. The average monthly output would be 1.5 to 2.0 lac Cum basing on the site conditions and the type of material encountered.

This Dredger is supported with a pipe line of 1.5 Km Length of which 500 mtrs is FPL. ADAMS was incorporated in the year 2007 and has so far handling technical management services with experienced man power of both technical & operational personal of over 140 on its rolls and providing services to its clients to their utmost satisfaction for two large sized Cutter Suction Dredgers , CSD Marg Cauvery from 2007, with capacity of 1500 Cum solids per hour, Dredge pump 2020 Kw and discharge pipeline 800mm dia, Maximum pumping distance 3000mtrs and CSD Portofino with 3700 Kw Dredge pump engine and rated capacity 2000 Cum solids Per hour and suction diameter 900mm and pumping distance upto 4000 mtrs.

ADAMS is in the active process of acquisition of another Ocean going Cutter Suction Dredger shortly, with discharge pipe dia 760mm, rated capacity of about 1500 Cum solids per hour and pumping distance 1500 to 2000 mtrs.

With the above additions and technical & Operational expertise ADAMS are in a position to take up new dredging assignments for major and non major Ports independently as well as on joint venture basis.
