According to TGS, the project is set to commence in July and will span approximately 20 days.

“We are very pleased to secure more 4D work on the Norwegian continental shelf for the 2025 summer season,” said Kristian Johansen, CEO of TGS.

“We already have secured one contract in the Barents Sea with a duration of approximately 45 days, and this award is scheduled to be acquired back-to-back. Adding on the recently announced multi-client project, we have built a solid Barents Sea acquisition campaign.”

In early February, TGS secured two additional 4D streamer contracts offshore Norway, one in the North Sea and another in the Norwegian Sea. The back-to-back surveys, scheduled to commence in June, will have a combined duration of approximately 80 days.

Offshore Norway, TGS secured four 4D streamer contract acquisition projects, three in the North Sea and one in the Barents Sea.

Additionally, the company recently launched a new multi-client 3D seismic acquisition and processing project in the Goliat area of the Norwegian Barents Sea.
