Tanin, Karish declared gas discoveries

The Karish natural gas reservoir, which is located in the Alon C/366 license area, as well as the Tanin”natural gas reservoir which is located in the Alon A/364 license area, were pronounced natural gas discoveries by the Energy Ministry, Delek Group said in a statement.

This declaration helps Delek Group and Noble Energy who are trying to sell the two fields as well as part of the Leviathan to other market players as they are facing a possibility of being labelled a cartel, reports Globes.

Delek Group’s subsidiaries hold 53% in Karish and Tanin while Noble Energy holds 47%, two fields that together with the Leviathan gas find have a potential of 80 bcm.
