Taizhou CATIC recently held a naming ceremony for three 51,000 dwt bulk carriers, which were built jointly with Kouan Shipyard. This was the first triple naming ceremony in the company’s history.

Taizhou Held Naming Ceremony for Three Carriers

General Manager of Taizhou CATIC Mr. Cai Aiguo said on the occasion: “Kouan Shipyard always adhered to our enterprise’s culture concept of implementing contracts, standing by our reputation and stringent management to pursue development, adding that there were no abandoned or cancelled vessels since and during the financial crisis. At present, the production of orders received so far has been scheduled to the first half of 2017, which laid a solid foundation for future’s steady development.”

The successful construction of the three vessels (Hull No.: TC0301、TC0302、TC0305) was praised by the owner’s supervision team, site surveyors of Class CCS and the relevant service providers.

These three 51,000T bulk carriers boast advanced design with MAN-B&W 6S46ME-B8.2-TII diesel engine, which has lower fuel consumption, better fuel economy and stronger market competitiveness compared.
