‘Stena Clyde’ spuds Pryderi well (Australia)

Business & Finance

As a partner in the WA-424-P Joint Venture, IPB Petroleum has received notification that the Stena Clyde semi-submersible drilling rig arrived at the Pryderi-1 location in WA-424-P, offshore W. Australia, late evening on November 6, 2014.

IPB Petroleum has informed last week that the rig is en route to Pryderi location. The Pryderi-1 well was spudded early morning of November 9.

Pryderi-1 well is located in the Browse Basin, north of Broome, offshore Western Australia.

Pryderi-1 is a relatively shallow well and based on the current well schedule IPB estimates that the target reservoir will be intersected later this week.

The company said that over the next 24 hours, planned operations include the start of drilling the 17.5 inch section of the well.

WA-424-P Joint Venture is IPB 75%, and CalEnergy 25% and Operator.
