Spectrum Offshore Wraps It Up at Hornsea One

Business & Finance

Spectrum Offshore has completed its scope of work at Ørsted’s Hornsea Project One offshore wind farm in the UK.

Spectrum Offshore was in charge of providing offshore construction support surveys on the 1.2GW project under a contract secured in April last year.

According to the UK-based company, the work took 18 months and was carried out on board the crew transfer vessel Rix Leopard.

Additionally, Spectrum mobilized its in-house survey installation to accommodate high-resolution multibeam echosounder, parametric sub-bottom profiler and USBL systems.

Hornsea Project One will comprise 174 Siemens Gamesa 7MW turbines installed some 120km off Yorkshire. The 1.2GW project will become the world’s largest offshore wind farm once commissioned in 2020.
