SOREC: Workshop on tidal energy challenges

Solent Offshore Renewable Energy Consortium (SOREC) is organizing a conference and workshop to explore the challenges of tidal energy sector and the role of small and medium enterprises in resolving these issues.

The event is designed for small and medium enterprises, and it’s free to attend.

In addition to networking with other companies and organizations with an interest in tidal energy, the conference will offer information about developments in tidal energy around the world locally.

The attendees will also find out about accessing facilities, expertise within the UK knowledge base, the intellectual property protection, as well funding, testing, commercialization and collaborations with other SME’s.

The event will take place at the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton of May 15, 2015.

SOREC is a European Regional Development Fund project led by the Isle of Wight Council that was created to serve as an employers’ organisation for the Offshore Renewable Energy sector.
