Norwegian offshore vessel owner Solstad Offshore has been awarded several contracts in the Middle East and Mediterranean.

Solstad said on Thursday that the present contract for the platform supplier Far Swan had been extended with one year. The contract is now firm to 4Q 2021.

The vessel continues to support drilling operations in the Middle East with an unnamed major operator in the region.

Also, the contract for the PSV Sea Spark has been extended with six months to July 2020 to support drilling operations in the Mediterranean.

In addition, the PSVs Normand Surfer and Normand Supra have been contracted by Saipem, also for work in the Mediterranean. The contracts will start during December 2019 for a firm period of 60 days each.

In addition, earlier on Thursday, Solstad said it had won a contract extension for its 56 percent-owned Normand Tonjer vessel.
