Solstad Offshore reported the contract award for the AHTS BOS Turquesa on Monday. The vessel is expected to support Petrobras’ exploration and production activities on the Brazilian continental shelf.

According to Solstad, the three-year contract contains extension options, which Petrobras can decide to exercise. The new contract is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2022.

This is not the first time that the 2007-built AHTS vessel has been contracted by Petrobras, since, the AHTS BOS Turquesa worked for the Brazilian giant on several occasions as outlined within deals awarded in January 2016, July 2017 and April 2018.

It is worth noting that Solstad has won multiple new contracts this year and December is proving to be very productive for Solstad in this regard as well due to several new contract awards.

Earlier this month, the firm secured contracts with Equinor (for operations in Brazil), Santos (for operations offshore Australia), an undisclosed North Sea operator and Woodside. The latest PSV contract was awarded a week ago for North Sea operations.
