Solstad Farstad’s anchor handler to do more work for Petrobras

Norway’s newly-formed OSV provider, Solstad Farstad, has been awarded a contract for one of its anchor handling tug supply vessels (AHTS) by Brazilian oil major Petrobras.

According to the vessel owner’s Friday Oslo Stock Exchange filing, Petrobras awarded Solstad Farstad a one-year contract of for the AHTS BOS Turquesa.

Solstad Farstad said that the contract would begin during the first part of July and Petrobras has the option to extend the contract for an additional year.

The companies agreed not to reveal the commercial terms of the contract.

Previously, the 2007-built AHTS was awarded a deal with Petrobras in January 2016. The charter deal from 2016 was a one-year contract with a further one-year option.

At the time, the vessel was owned by Farstad Shipping, which is now part of Solstad Farstad together with Deep Sea Supply and Solstad Offshore.
