Singapore Detains Bulker Long Bright

The 37,300 dwt bulk carrier Long Bright has been detained in Singapore waters, according to data provided by the Supreme Court of Singapore.

The 2012-built vessel, operated by China’s Highrich Logistics, was arrested in the afternoon hours of March 28, 2018.

Focal Investigation & Security Agency has been appointed for security and investigation purposes related to the arrest of the vessel which was built at China’s Shandong Huahai shipyard.

The bulker, which features a length of 190 meters and a width of 28.5 meters, is currently located at a PaxOcean dock in Tuas, Singapore.

VesselsValue data shows that the bulker has a market value of USD 11.2 million.
